Beautiful body balm

Earthyma’s body balm contains highly nourishing oils and butters, e.g. shea butter, olive oil, apricot oil, cocoa butter and jojoba oil which will soften the skin and prevent it from drying out. I have also added two more great oils like camellia oil to promote and restore the skin’s elasticity. And rosehip oil, which is known for its regenerative properties to help combat the appearance of stretch marks.

Another benefit of the balm is that it contains beeswax which acts as an occlusive. This means it forms a thin layer on the skin that protects it. This layer also prevents water loss which helps to keep the skin feeling supple, soft and moisturised.

The body balm can also be used on skin that needs some extra TLC e.g. elbows, knees, feet, hands, tummy, lips and other dry patches, or all over your body if you have dry skin.

Throughout my pregnancy, I applied this balm every night to my baby bump. With my first baby (which was way before I started Earthyma) I got my fair share of stretch marks. From using this balm every night this pregnancy my tummy has recovered much better than before I was pregnant. The stretch marks are barely noticeable now and the skin has significantly repaired itself. It was also absolutely amazing to use for massaging when my milk came in. Out of all the stages of pregnancy and birth, I find this to be one of the most painful parts.

DIRECTIONS: Apply a dab with clean hands and massage into dry skin, as a result, your skin will feel amazing. This is an oil-based product therefore little bit goes a long way. It may feel oily at first but will set into the skin nicely.

INGREDIENTS: We have blended beautiful butters with nourishing oils, including shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, sunflower oil, apricot oil, jojoba oil, camellia oil, rosehip oil, olive oil, antioxidant vitamin E together with a very small amount essentials oils (.01%) lavender, geranium and frankincense.

STORAGE AND EXPIRY: Due to the nature of this product, it is important to keep it in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight. If the product becomes warm it will soften and melt. You may find in summer if this happens, the shea butter will crystallise. It is still safe to use, however, the consistency is not ideal.

Ensure you have clean, dry hands when using the balm or use a spoon or spatula to remove it from the jar. It’s very important not to get water into the balm when you are using it as this will introduce contaminants.  It is recommended to use this product within 6 months of purchase in winter and within 3 months in summer. 

CAUTION: This product is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. All quantities of essential oils are well below the amounts deemed safe for use while pregnant and breastfeeding. Like all of our products, we recommend a patch test as you may be more sensitive when pregnant. Kindly note minimal essential oils are used in this balm - approximately 1 drop per jar.
